From Idea to Reality: The Evolution of SACCMVA
As SACCMVA paved it's way through different challenges, we stood firm in our efforts to be included in government decision making. We actually drove the battle from within and showed our expertise on a more conservative front.
Splinter groups enhanced the difficulty and changed the mind of some members falling away along the path of our struggle for recognition. Yet SACCMVA came out stronger and more determined to fulfil it's mandate from all the affiliated members.

THE BATTLE FOR RECOGNITION FROM WITHIN THE APARTHEID REGIME
The SACCMVA is a military veterans organisation consisting of former members of the South African Cape Corps (SACC). The SACC consisted of brown/Khoisan soldiers that were part of the former South African Defence Force (SADF) from 1966 to 1989 and were deployed during the South African Border War.
